Heart and Lung Centre – New Cross Hospital

Wolverson X-ray has recently completed a new installation at The Heart and Lung Centre, New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton.

This high tech Vision C Equipment is one of the latest generation Wolverson X-Ray systems, which, together with a wireless digital detector, was installed into this fairly small sized chest room. The ergonomically designed and versatile auto positioning system made it an ideal solution providing a compact gantry where all the overhead gantry cables are hidden and routed through the tube column. This offers more space and gantry manoeuvrability.

The light weight gantry is tablet controlled, but can also be easily manoeuvred manually using the tube handles. In addition to this there is the robust chest Bucky which can be angulated to 90 degrees for use with trolleys or extremities if required. The staff have found the image quality exceptional, and together with the lightweight digital detector and intuitive user interface, this system, helps the staff to deliver exceptional patient care.

“The Vision C has proven to be a good choice for the limited space we had available in our chest room. It is compact and visually appealing whilst providing the necessary capabilities for rapid throughput of chest x-rays in a busy department. Its intuitive workflow is one of the features that attracted us to this equipment making training staff quick and easy. The flexibility to turn the fixed chest stand through 90 degrees to horizontal offers us additional capabilities to undertake extremity work.”
